On July 6 we launched a new localised group for the Carindale and surrounds region called CREG (Carindale Region Edible Gardeners). Our Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/groups/1471602986410969

CREG is for all Carindale Region Edible Gardeners to share info, skills, knowledge, events, produce and networking on food growing - small scale farming in urban environments, backyards, verges, balconies, roofs, parks, schools, businesses, organisations, small acreage and more.

Ideally, your home or related business should reside within the circle highlighted on the page map, or close enough. For the purposes of this group, the Carindale Region includes all suburns within and around Mount Gravatt East to the south, Murrarie to the north, Greenslopes to the west and Capalaba to the east.

Suburbs considered within this region include: Balmoral, Bulimba, Belmont, Camp Hill, Cannon Hill, Capalaba West, Carina, Carina Heights, Carindale, Chandler, Coorparoo, Gumdale, Hawthorne, Morningside, Murrarie, Norman Park, Seven Hills, Greenslopes, Holland Park, Mansfield, Mount Gravatt East and Wishart.

All edible gardeners, food growers, urban farmers, organic and biodynamic practitioners, permaculturists and natural gardeners welcome within or close enough to this region.

Please help us spread the word. Welcome and enjoy!

On July 6 we launched an exciting new group called BMEG (Brisbane Multicultural Edible Gardeners) to learn from, share with and celebrate the wonderful multicultural food gardeners and foodies in Brisbane and surrounds. So far it's been

BMEG is all about celebrating the rich multicultural edible gardening community in and around Brisbane. If your specific cultural background is or has been a strong influence in your life, or you've lived overseas, shaping your food growing stories, education, attitudes and practices, you’re going to love BMEG!

Brisbane boasts a very diverse multicultural community. Did you know that Brisbane is now the second fastest growing multicultural city in the world? That title makes for some amazing cultures sharing their food growing and culinary traditions, info, skills, knowledge, events, produce and networking with us all.

Whether you were born in Australia or not, and whether you arrived over 50 years ago or just recently, this group is a fun place to share your rich food growing heritage with us, in Australia or from your original country. Australia was built on multiculturalism and there’s so much to learn and share about our countries of origin, including our own wonderful indigenous cultures.

All edible gardeners, food growers, urban farmers, organic and biodynamic practitioners, permaculturists and natural gardeners welcome to join the BMEG Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/508649532601627

Please help us spread the word. Welcome and enjoy!
