Down to Earth is a hands-on 1 day masterclass on understanding soil and soil care.

In this theory and hands-on workshop you’ll learn about:
• Rebuilding ‘natural capital’
• Soil care, including understanding composition, structure, soil pH, drainage, micro- and macro-organisms, nutrients and humus
• Composting and mulching
• Fertiliser and DIY fertilisers
• Styles of gardening, including no-dig, raised beds, mounds, intensive, polycrops and more
• Understanding earth worms and compost worms, plus worm farming
• Water-wise gardening and the art of watering
